Hi Maegan and Courtnay! This is such a fun and engaging lesson plan! I think that the use of TikTok will really get students excited about learning their French vocabulary! I wonder what students could do if they are uncomfortable with being on TikTok, even a private account? Thanks for sharing!!!

    Hi Courtnay and Maegan,
Amazing work on this lesson plan! The slides were a very helpful way of presenting this lesson. I went through french immersion and am always in search of engaging ways to teach french! This makes me wonder, could this lesson be expanded into an entire unit?

Thanks for sharing your lesson plan, I enjoyed watching your video about it. I like how you created a lesson that allows students to practice using new vocabulary as part of a TikTok video. I also like how you integrated other forms of technology to help with language acquisition, such as the WordWall matching game. If I were to add anything to the lesson, I would include some things like fun props or objects for students to use to make the videos, as I feel this might encourage students’ creativity and sense of joy. The only question I have is: would your require students to compose comments in French or in English? Thanks for all your hard work!

    Hi Maegan and Courtnay,
Awesome lesson plan! I especially like how you add in a section for the students to reflect on what they learned throughout the lesson. The use of TikTok is especially great because students are able to record themselves speaking and listen back on it to hear what their conversation sounded like. I wonder how this could be extended to include the writing aspect of learning a language as well.
