What makes a really good professional TikTok?

In my opinion, a really good professional TikTok in education is one that is engaging and genuine. In terms of engagement, I think a really good professional TikTok shares insights, ideas, and resources in fun ways. This could include using popular sounds and trends, demonstrating the information in creative ways, and keeping things direct and to the point. I think TikTok makes it easy to lose interest in a video that is too long so keeping it quick and to the point is important. I also think a really good professional TikTok is genuine and relatable. Being genuine and relatable on TikTok could include sharing the good and the bad days, sharing frustrations within the education system, and normalizing teachers having a life outside of the classroom. Social media often only shares the highlights but I think it’s important for teachers to share all of the ups and downs.
