I loved everything about Rebecca’s presentation! I really love the independence she gives her students and how student-led her classroom seems to be. I have seen this up for debate but I really like that Rebecca’s classroom isn’t filled with overwhelmingly bright colours, having more neutral colours made the classroom seem so much more calming and warm. I also liked how she leaned into her student’s interests and created the art bar for them. I think that is such a special way to show your students that you care about their interests, and if you know your students all really enjoy art, you can try to incorporate it into different subject areas to make it relevant and interesting to them. Moreover, I enjoyed when she spoke about outdoor learning. Outdoor learning is something I am interested in looking further into so to hear Rebecca’s perspective was very interesting! Lastly, I found it so interesting when Rebecca spoke about research projects in kindergarten! I was a bit stumbled by this idea at first but after hearing Rebecca talk about it, I am so curious to research more!
