Today in class we experienced a mini Edcamp and it was awesome! I think Edcamp is an excellent way to get everyone in the school community together and collaborating. It’s so cool that Edcamp is like a personalized professional development day, because you’re bound to engage more in topics that actually interest you. Whereas sitting through a pro-d session that isn’t relevant to you would feel more like a chore. I’m curious to know how many parents actually attend Edcamps because to me it doesn’t seem like something a lot of parents would be interested in. I wish that our Edcamp could’ve been longer because I really enjoyed talking with my peers and bouncing ideas off each other and I unfortunately did not get a chance to go to any of the other rooms/topics. I would love to engage in another Edcamp very soon!
